Woodland's Yolo Adult Day Health Center celebrates 30 years

Daily Democrat

Woodland Healthcare's Yolo Adult Day Health Center is celebrating its 30th anniversary, with a free community open house on Thursday from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at its location at 20 N. Cottonwood St.

Woodland Healthcare's Yolo Adult Day Health Center offers a diverse range of services for individuals and families facing the challenges of serious health problems such as dementia, chronic medical diagnoses, mental illness or brain injury. The professionally trained staff has a rich understanding of the issues related to community-based chronic care management, caregiving, family dynamics, desire for independence, care coordination, home safety, community resources, memory loss and long-term care planning.

"Our diverse programs are designed to promote independence with dignity," said Dawn Myers Purkey, Program Manager, Yolo Adult Day Health Center. "We've been committed to the community for 30 years with a focus on individual strengths, choice, collaboration, innovation and quality to best support frail adults and family caregivers. We have a lot to celebrate!"

We couldn't do this without you.
Friends rely on the generosity of the community to support the Center’s many efforts which would otherwise go unfunded.
