Promoting the health, dignity and independence of frail older and disabled adults and their caregivers by supporting
Yolo Adult Day Health Center through fundraising and community awareness.
Who We Are
A group of dedicated volunteers committed to preserving the health,
dignity and well-being of frail, older and dependent adults, by providing and continuing to support a community-based alternative to institutional long term care.
What We Do
Promote awareness of the need for community-based adult services and
raise funds to help Yolo Adult Day Health Center continue to be one of the best programs in the state. Friends of ADHC helps with monthly stipends, special programs and equipment, buses/vans, building upkeep and much more.
Why We Do It
No one wants to live in an institution or be isolated at home dependent
on others. Friends of ADHC supports participants and caregivers by providing a day program that includes socialization, activities, nursing, social services, skilled therapies,
transportation and a hot meal to those at risk of nursing home placement.
We couldn't do this without you.
Friends rely on the generosity of the community to support the Center’s many efforts which would otherwise go unfunded.
In 1984, the community built our center at
20 North Cottonwood Street, Woodland, CA 95776.
Ever since, we have strived to give back to the community.
